Bring on Spring! This has been the picture of our household for the past few months. Trying to do silly things, like putting a little couch on a big couch, just for some simple entertainment. It's been a cold winter and Jovie and Mommy are ready for some warm weather and sunshine! It's been a few months since I have last updated, so I will try and catch everyone up as best as I can. It's been an up and down few months so here goes!
January brought cold weather, snow, and lots of inside playing. Here are a few pictures from our inside adventures.
February was another cold, blistery month in Iowa. There was a HUGE snow storm, and we did get some time to play outside, but not a lot. More inside playing and trying to entertain an almost 2 year old! AHHH - prayed for sanity daily :)
Jovie's new entertainment (about 10 times a day is washing her hands and playing in the sink). She constantly walks up to us and says, "Hands" because she wants to wash her hands. I think we can thank Papa Kirky for this :)
Going to be a ball player like her Mama!
Libby was playing dress up with Jovie :)
Jovie loves the baby, whom she has named "Bob"
Finally we get to play outside!!!
Wearing Mommy's coat
Playing with Sissy
Libby also turned 13 February 5th... yes, we now have a teenager in the house! Help us Lord :)
She's a great kid and a great help! I couldn't ask for a better teenage daughter (let's hope it stays that way)! She's been very busy with league basketball (which just ended), track (which just started), and 4H meetings (getting ready for fair this summer and showing her cattle). She's also been having some of her first babysitting jobs and really enjoys that!
Last week we had a tragedy in the family. Steve's wonderful Grandparents became angels. It was a very rough week, as I returned from work travel in Oklahoma late Wednesday night, and Steve came home early Thursday morning with the horrible news. What we have to remember, even in the darkest times, is that they loved each other, and they are together. Exactly how they wanted to be. We will always remember Grandpa and Annie's smiles when they saw Libby and Jovie. They loved those two little girls. They will be greatly missed by all of the hearts and lives they touched, but heaven sure got two funny, loving, and wonderful angels, who loved each other so very much.
We love you Grandpa and Annie!
March brings warmer weather and excitement! 9 weeks until baby, so we are will be busy working on the nursery and spoiling Jovie as much as possible!! :) (Like she needs it!)
Hope this blog finds you all healthy, happy, and ready for warm weather and sunshine!
