Welcome Bria Leigh Moel
Daddy's Princess number 4 has arrived at the Moel house! Bria Leigh Moel was born on 4.28.11 at 8:51 PM weighing in at 6.11 and 19 inches long. She is perfect! She is joined by Mommy, Libby, Jovie, and Daddy! She arrived two weeks early and was a bit of a surprise to Mom and Dad! Here is how the story unfolds...
I went to my 38 week apt on Thursday knowing I was going to be dilated somewhere past 4 cm. Well, much to my surprise I was 7 cm and baby was breach. I panicked a little bit, being I was at the appointment by myself, and called Steve immediately. He took Jov over to the neighbors and was on his way. After an ultrasound, confirming that baby was breach, they had me drive myself over to labor and delivery where Dr. Rexroth was going to try and manually flip the baby. YIKES I thought! When Steve finally arrived, he arrived to 4 nurses in my room hooking me up to oxygen and flipping me to my side. The baby's heart rate kept dropping and it was very scary. Dr. Rexroth showed up and tried to manually flip the baby (most pain I have EVER had) and decided a C-Section was the route to go. I was a little bit scared, not having anything planned! All I thought I was going to do was go to my apt and then get groceries and head home, NOT expecting to have a baby that day!
Once in the operating room I got a lot more nervous. I hated the feeling of not feeling anything. Steve was awesome and kept asking me if I wanted "play by play". HECK NO I didn't want play by play. There were a few times I considered asking them to knock me out because of the overwhelming sense of panic I felt, but I kept my cool and out came baby! Dr. Rexroth let Steve know he could peek over the curtain and announce the sex of the baby. Bria's legs were together everything was "swollen" so he announced her as a BOY and he was serious!! Dr. Rexroth asked him to check again. I could see a split second of disappointment on Steve's face, knowing he wasn't going to get his boy, but he fell in love immediately! Bria was named after my brother Brian, and Leigh after Steve's sister Crystal. My mom and dad were both there for the delivery, and Steve gave them the news over text message (I found this out much later and was a bit disappointed). :)
Jovie has fallen in love with her little sister, constantly wanting to help with diaper changes, and putting her binkie in her mouth. She tells her all the time that she has "Tiny Fingers and Tiny Toes". She also is constantly kissing her on the head. It's priceless.
Libby has been a huge help by playing with Jov, allowing me to feed Bria. She also was a huge help for those first few weeks as I couldn't lift Jov, which completely broke my heart.
We are finally starting to settle into a routing. Bria is sleeping about 3 hours at a time at night (4 weeks old). Jov is acting like Jov, a 2 year old who is not at all interested in potty training. BUMMER. Lib is heading to her mom's for most of the summer. Steve is working. And me, I'm feeding the baby :)
Here are some pictures from Bria's arrival - she is such a blessing from God and we couldn't love her more. She is an amazing baby and we are so lucky to have our family complete. ALL GIRLS! :) Lucky Steve.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jovie!!
Well, I have NO IDEA how it happened, but my "baby" turned 2 on April 1! Seems like yesterday she graced us with her presence. Oh how I have fallen so deeply in love over the past 2 years. This girl just rocks my world. She is the funniest, sweetest and most adorable child I have EVER seen! :) Steve and I took the day off and spent it with our little Joviebear. We went on a donut date to the Tipton bakery and a had a nice drive looking for animals on the way home. She "opened" her presents when we got home - out of the Target bag :)
Family started to arrive that night with Papa, Brian "Poopy", and Kelly for the big Saturday party! Jov had a blast playing with them and she opened her gifts from Poopy and Kelly. Saturday was a BUSY day with getting all the food ready, decorations up, and spending time with family. Jovie was spoiled with attention! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. It was 55 and sunny and everyone was able to sit outside and enjoy the weather and watch the kiddos play.
Jovie had a wonderful birthday and was surrounded by people that LOVE her. She loved her Dora cake and her Dora singing balloon.
Our next "big" milestone is Bob's arrival - due May 13. I have been having quite a few contractions, so I'm hoping if I continue to work out daily and stay active, I can go a week or two early :) I'm antsy!!
Enjoy Jovie's birthday pictures! Jovie said thanks for the card Granny Shirley! I made her say "Grandma Shirley" and she said it with NO SWEAR WORDS! :)
Enjoy the birthday pictures!

Looking forward to Spring!
Bring on Spring! This has been the picture of our household for the past few months. Trying to do silly things, like putting a little couch on a big couch, just for some simple entertainment. It's been a cold winter and Jovie and Mommy are ready for some warm weather and sunshine! It's been a few months since I have last updated, so I will try and catch everyone up as best as I can. It's been an up and down few months so here goes!
January brought cold weather, snow, and lots of inside playing. Here are a few pictures from our inside adventures.
February was another cold, blistery month in Iowa. There was a HUGE snow storm, and we did get some time to play outside, but not a lot. More inside playing and trying to entertain an almost 2 year old! AHHH - prayed for sanity daily :)
Jovie's new entertainment (about 10 times a day is washing her hands and playing in the sink). She constantly walks up to us and says, "Hands" because she wants to wash her hands. I think we can thank Papa Kirky for this :)
Going to be a ball player like her Mama!
Libby was playing dress up with Jovie :)
Jovie loves the baby, whom she has named "Bob"
Finally we get to play outside!!!
Wearing Mommy's coat
Playing with Sissy
Libby also turned 13 February 5th... yes, we now have a teenager in the house! Help us Lord :)
She's a great kid and a great help! I couldn't ask for a better teenage daughter (let's hope it stays that way)! She's been very busy with league basketball (which just ended), track (which just started), and 4H meetings (getting ready for fair this summer and showing her cattle). She's also been having some of her first babysitting jobs and really enjoys that!
Last week we had a tragedy in the family. Steve's wonderful Grandparents became angels. It was a very rough week, as I returned from work travel in Oklahoma late Wednesday night, and Steve came home early Thursday morning with the horrible news. What we have to remember, even in the darkest times, is that they loved each other, and they are together. Exactly how they wanted to be. We will always remember Grandpa and Annie's smiles when they saw Libby and Jovie. They loved those two little girls. They will be greatly missed by all of the hearts and lives they touched, but heaven sure got two funny, loving, and wonderful angels, who loved each other so very much.
We love you Grandpa and Annie!
March brings warmer weather and excitement! 9 weeks until baby, so we are will be busy working on the nursery and spoiling Jovie as much as possible!! :) (Like she needs it!)
Hope this blog finds you all healthy, happy, and ready for warm weather and sunshine!
